Saint Mary's Parents Association fundraisers and events help keep tuition down with the participation of the members of our school community. Families support the school by donating their time and talents through volunteerism and through monetary contributions.
SMPA Leadership Team
The Leadership team meets monthly to facilitate a working relationship between the administration, faculty, and school parents and to support the chairpersons of events. The team's main objective is to raise money to support the needs of Saint Mary School.
Sunday Coffee
Our school families participate in a service project to our parish by offering Sunday coffee in the Church Hall after Sunday Masses in the spirit of giving back. Each school family has the responsibility of serve Sunday Coffee at their chosen scheduled time. See full instructions.
Gift of Reading Program
Purchase books in honor of special loved ones to add to our school library. We receive a small portion of the book’s purchase price. Contact: Brigid Carlson [email protected]
Ice Cream Social
We celebrate the opening of a new school year with ice cream sundaes served by the faculty. Volunteers order the ice cream supplies and set up tables and decorations on the night of the event.
Grandparents Day Mass and Breakfast
Grandparents or a special relative or friend spend time with their loved one at a Mass and breakfast and visit the classrooms. Volunteers plan decorations and food, set up the breakfast, and assist during the event with tours and photographs.
Fall Fundraiser
A major fundraiser for our school, the SMPA sells magazine subscriptions and gift items to kick off the holiday shopping season.
Senior Luncheon
A catered Thanksgiving luncheon is provided to the senior friends of our parish. Volunteers help with decorations, baking, serving food, and set up/clean up.
Elves Workshop
The kickoff to the Christmas season, students purchase gifts at this Christmas Gift Shop. Volunteer "elves" help with set-up, decorating and selling and wrapping gifts, and
January
Pasta Festival
The kickoff to Catholic Schools Week, this delicious Italian dinner follows the Saturday afternoon Mass. Volunteers help with planning, decorations, setup, serving, and cleanup.
Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
A special part of our Catholic Schools Week celebration, we thank the teachers for all they do by providing a special lunch in their honor. The committee members plan a theme, create a menu, set up the luncheon, and serve the teachers.
February/March Parents Night Out
A major fundraiser that brings our community together to share in some fun, music, and camaraderie. Help the committee in planning the event, soliciting raffle and silent auction items, decorating, and setup/cleanup.
Scholastic Book Fair
The fair supports our love of reading and gives students the chance to jump-start their summer reading.
Father Daughter Dance
A special night filled with dancing, food, raffles and fun for the girls and their special guest.. Volunteers assist in planning the theme, decorations, invitations, food, setup/cleanup, and working at the event.
Mother Son Event
Volunteers help with the planning, publicity, and preparations for this event that celebrates our boys and their moms. Past events have included bowling, miniiature golf and trampolines.
Boosterthon
Students obtain monetary pledges for walking on an obstacle course at school. This is a fun event encouraging physical activity while supporting the school. Past walk-a-thons have raised funds for sports equipment and technology needs. Contact the school for information.
