After working as a Reading Tutor in the Harvard Reading Lab and at Palfrey Street Alternative High School in Watertown, I accepted a job as a Learning Disabilities Specialist in the Medfield Public Schools. I instructed children ranging from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8 in a resource room setting. After many years as a stay-at-home Mom, I became a substitute teacher at Saint Mary School. In 1999 I was offered a teaching position in First Grade, and for 17 years entering that classroom always put a smile on my face. Each day I thank God for the gift of Saint Mary School and the beautiful children and families I have come to know over the years.
As I begin a new phase of my career, I look forward to the challenge and excitement of serving as the Assistant Principal and Admissions Director. It was a difficult decision to leave First Grade, but I am thrilled to have this opportunity to interact with the students in all grades.
My husband Tom and I love spending time with our family, and both of our sons are graduates of Saint Mary School. Reading is an addiction for me, and I belong to a Book Club that meets monthly. I also enjoy taking long walks, playing tennis and golf, and relaxing at the beach with my friends and family.
